Classroom Sessions

All participants are required to attend classroom sessions to learn vehicle dynamics and driving techniques.  These sessions will continue throughout the day to help you understand the fine art of high speed driving. Class attendance will be recorded and failure to attend will result in loss of driving privileges.

 Tech Inspection

All participants will receive a Pre-Event Safety Inspection Report. This form may be downloaded from the website. You will be required to have a qualified mechanic inspect your vehicle and verify its safety.  This inspection should be performed within three weeks of the event. Our technical inspection crew will collect all Pre-Event Safety Inspection Reports and perform a spot check of every vehicle. Tech inspection will take place on the first day of the event from 7:30 AM to 8:15 AM.  You are solely responsible for insuring that your vehicle is safe before you arrive at the track.  Failure to present a completed Pre-Event Safety Inspection Report or failure to pass our spot check will disqualify you from participation in the event and your entry fee will be forfeited.

Other Requirements

All participants must present a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.  All participants must wear helmets bearing one of the following certifications: Snell SA2000, SA2005, M2000, or M2005. The older Snell SA95 or M95 certifications are no longer accepted. For new drivers, the club will have access to a limited number of helmets available for rental at a reasonable price. Rental arrangements must be made at least 1 week BEFORE the event.  Please contact the event organizer for more details. The club will bring along only those helmets that have been rented ahead of time – there will be no extra helmets available otherwise. All participants will be required to sign a “Helmet Acknowledgment and Release” form at registration.    All cars must have two seats of the same type, a dashboard, and equivalent seatbelts/harnesses for driver and passenger. Racing harnesses are forbidden unless the car is equipped with a roll cage or a roll bar. 4-point harnesses are forbidden. Participants driving cars with a gutted interior, roll cage or roll bar must use an SA2000 or SA2005 certified helmet. Convertibles must have approved roll bars. The  “broomstick rule” applies. Original factory pop-ups are not accepted. Original factory fixed hoops may be accepted (but with certain restrictions applied). For further clarification concerning convertibles, please contact our Chief Instructor. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed in the pit area unless accompanied by an adult.    Please keep in mind that this is not a race event but rather a safe, high speed driving school, conducted on a closed track under close supervision by experienced instructors. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads.  This will help to prepare you for emergencies in normal driving.  It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle.  At no time will you be pushed or encouraged to go any faster than is comfortable for you.  All participants will be organized into run groups in accordance with experience, skill, and type of vehicle. Participants will be required to drive with an instructor on board unless and until they are 'signed off' to drive solo. Under no circumstances will timed laps be permitted!  If you are seen with a stopwatch or any other timing device at any time during the event, the club reserves the right to ask you to leave and forfeit your ability to participate in this event. Such infringement might also lead to a longer event participation suspension

It is strictly forbidden to consume any type of alcoholic beverage on track property during an event until the track is officially closed, which is generally after 5pm. This applies to everyone, participants and visitors. There is NO exception to this rule. All participants and visitors must respect this policy and understand the event organizer has the overall responsibility to run a safe and clean event and thus has the authority to expel anyone seen not complying with the safety policy.

Le Circuit Mont Tremblant

Nestled in the splendour of the Laurentian Mountains, Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant is located about 90 miles northwest of Montréal, and connected by an expressway. Built in 1964 in the shadow of the majestic Mont-Tremblant, the picturesque and twisty 15-corner circuit (formerly a 2.65-mile track) was completely rebuilt and upgraded in 2001. With new pavement all the way around, the width of the track has increased from 28 to 36 feet, and run-off areas have been added or rebuilt. Corners have been smoothed for safety purposes, but the challenging nature of the track remains. The track refurbishing also included enlarged pits and a new pit entrance, along with a revamping of the officials/media center. The tower, cafeteria and washrooms have all been extensively upgraded and enlarged where needed.    Situated in one of the most gorgeous settings in the world for a racetrack, the layout is a classic for racers, as it combines the natural topography of the site with elevation changes from the start/finish line to corner 8 and back. The track is bordered by Lake Moore and Devil River (La Diable).    There are more than 100 hotels, motels, condos and bed & breakfast units in the region, so lodging is plentiful. Also, Mont-Tremblant Resort, an alpine-style village right at the foot of the mountain, is a nearby facility. Visitors can enjoy and savour French or international cuisine in more than 100 restaurants surrounding the track.
